Part 6: The Expansion of the City: 1008BC "The Founding of the First City: A Time-Honored Tale of Ancient Civilization"

The city of Ur had been founded five years prior and had grown rapidly in that time. The city was bustling with activity and the people of Ur were proud of their accomplishments. The city was well-protected by a strong wall, and the citizens had access to food, water, and other resources.

The city was now ready to expand. The leaders of Ur decided to build a new section of the city, and they began to construct a new wall to protect it. This new section of the city was known as the “New City” and it was built on the other side of the river.
