Part 4: The Unveiling of the Pharaoh's Curse (155 BC) The Curse of the Ancient Pharaohs

The sun had just begun to set over the ancient city of Thebes, casting a golden hue over the sandstone walls and the majestic temples that lined the city streets. The people of Thebes had gathered in the city square, eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the Pharaoh's Curse.

The Pharaoh had decreed that the curse would be revealed at sunset, and the people had come to witness the event. As the sun dipped below the horizon, a hush fell over the crowd.

Suddenly, a loud voice boomed out from the temple walls. It was the voice of the Pharaoh himself, speaking from beyond the grave.

"People of Thebes," he said. "I have cursed this city with a terrible fate. If you do not heed my warning, then you will suffer the consequences. I have placed a powerful curse upon this city, and it will remain until the day that you have fulfilled my wishes.

"You must find the sacred relic of the Pharaohs, the Eye of Ra. If you can find it and bring it back to me, then the curse will be lifted. But if you fail, then the city of Thebes will be destroyed."

The crowd gasped in shock and fear. They had heard stories of the Eye of Ra, but no one had ever seen it. How could they possibly find it?

The Pharaoh's voice echoed through the city one last time. "You have until the next full moon to find the Eye of Ra. If you fail, then Thebes will be destroyed."

The crowd was silent as the sun set and the darkness of night descended upon the city. The people of Thebes had been given a task that seemed impossible, but they had no choice but to try. They had to find the Eye of Ra and bring it back to the Pharaoh, or Thebes would be destroyed.
