The next morning, the family awoke to a strange sound coming from outside. It was a low, eerie moan that seemed to be coming from the mansion. The family cautiously made their way outside to investigate.
As they approached the mansion, they noticed a strange mist had settled over the grounds. It was almost as if something was trying to keep them away. But the family was determined to find out what was going on.
They slowly made their way up the steps to the front door. As they reached the top, they were met with an even stranger sight. There, standing in the doorway, were three ghostly figures.
The figures were dressed in long, white robes and had pale, ghostly faces. They stared at the family with an intensity that made them feel uneasy.
The family was about to turn and run when one of the figures spoke.
"We are here to warn you," it said in a deep, raspy voice. "You must leave this place. It is cursed and those who stay will suffer a terrible fate."
The family was stunned. They had no idea what to do. But before they could respond, the figures had vanished.
The family was left standing in the doorway, unsure of what to do next. They had been warned, but what did it mean? They knew they had to leave, but where would they go?
The family decided to leave the mansion and never look back. They packed up their belongings and left the cursed place behind.
The family never returned to the mansion, but they never forgot the warning they had received. They knew that the curse of the haunted mansion was real and that it was something to be feared.
