Part 4: Fatima's Escape from the Palace The Curse of the Sultans: Mus'ab, Oliver, Fatima, and Zainab in Ancient Katsina

Fatima had been living in the palace for weeks, but she was growing increasingly desperate to escape. She had heard stories of the curse of the sultans, and she was determined to find a way out before it was too late.

One night, after everyone had gone to bed, Fatima snuck out of her room and made her way to the palace gates. She had heard that the guards were lax at night, and she was hoping to take advantage of this.

She was almost to the gates when she heard a voice behind her. It was Mus'ab, the palace guard. He had seen her sneaking out and had followed her.

Mus'ab demanded to know where she was going, and Fatima quickly made up a story about needing to visit her family in the city. Mus'ab didn't believe her, but he was too tired to argue. He let her go, warning her not to come back.

Fatima ran as fast as she could, not daring to look back. She knew that if she was caught, she would be punished severely. She ran all the way to the city, and when she arrived, she found a safe place to hide.

Fatima was relieved to be free, but she was also worried about her friends, Oliver and Zainab. She had no way of knowing if they were safe or not. She vowed to find them and help them escape the palace as well.

Fatima spent the next few weeks searching for her friends, but she had no luck. Finally, she decided to return to the palace and try to rescue them herself. She knew it was a risky plan, but she was determined to save her friends.

The next night, Fatima snuck back into the palace. She was relieved to find Oliver and Zainab safe in their rooms. She quickly explained her plan and the three of them made their way to the palace gates.

Just as they were about to leave, they were stopped by Mus'ab. He had been expecting them, and he was determined to stop them from escaping.

Fatima was terrified, but she refused to give up. She begged Mus'ab to let them go, and after a long argument, he finally agreed. He warned them never to return, and the three of them ran out of the palace gates and into the night.

Fatima and her friends had escaped the palace, but the curse of the sultans still hung over them. They knew they had to find a way to break the curse, or they would be doomed to a life of misery and suffering.
