The people of Ile-Ife had been living under the curse of the Oba of Ile-Ife for 969 years. The curse had caused much suffering and hardship for the people of Ile-Ife. But now, the curse was finally coming to an end.
The Oba of Ile-Ife had been searching for a way to break the curse for many years. He had consulted with many wise men and women, but none of them had been able to provide a solution. Finally, the Oba had a dream in which he was told to go to the sacred forest and find the tree of life.
The Oba and his people went to the sacred forest and found the tree of life. The Oba then performed a ritual to break the curse. He sacrificed a white goat and prayed to the gods to break the curse.
The gods heard his prayers and the curse was broken. The people of Ile-Ife were finally free from the curse. They celebrated with joy and gratitude.
